Alternatives to GU50?

Alternatives to GU50?

Postby NoshNosh » Thu Aug 20, 2009 11:50 am

I have loads of halogen GU50 lights in the kitchen, bathroom etc and they all have 50W lamps which are nice and bright but use tonnes of carbon and create unwanted heat. Does anyone know of an alternative that is practical and of course cost effective? LEDs perhaps?

I would suggest led. My reasons below;

LED interior lighting have revolutionized the way we light our homes. As LED technology opens up the application of architecture and design in home lighting, LED lights will introduce a collection of home LED replacement light at the cutting-edge of contemporary interior design.

Unlike normal lights, LED interior lighting are very durable, powerful and can last for a long time. In fact, you can now find LED replacement bulbs that emit light equivalent to a 60-watt incandescent light bulb, which makes them a viable technology for basic lighting needs at home. LED Lighting uses less energy to use then traditional lighting reducing your energy demand.

Another features of LED replacement light is their color changing. They are avaialbe in different types and colours.Furthermore, the user has all the control of the advanced features like light saturation, dimness, brightness and intensity of the light. While user can change the colors with remote control, it can automatically transit from one color to another. They are really incredible to change the atmosphere of a room according to your mood. These special led lights for home make your house more colourful and are different from those which are used in traditional lighting. It is a real innovation in home lighting technology.

Energy efficient lighting can solve most of this problem to progress the planets current green movement. As an energy efficient lighting, LED replacement light is a phenomenal way to reduce the amount of carbon emissions added to the atmosphere by replacing electric power plants. LED lights are more environmentally friendly than incandescent bulbs. It is a phenomenal way to reduce the amount of carbon emissions added to the atmosphere by replacing electric power plants with those that use renewable resources.

With shading, efficiency, and cost becoming more consumer friendly, LEDs are increasingly going to be found in homes and businesses. Thanks to new technology though, house are now made brighter thanks to under LED lighting.
